We continue growing in the number of projects and customers in the USA. This time in Seattle, at the Ash Grove Cement Company plant located in Washington State. This is our first sale in this plant, belonging to CRH.
We supply and supervise our Alfranjet ABR Clean + material in the smoke chamber, installed by SHOTCRETE technology. The results obtained lives up to the customer´s expectations

Since 2007, Refractarios Alfran has been the main player in both the refractory materials supply and installation at Votorantim Cimentos plants, in southern Spain.
Alfran has been the company chosen thanks to its knowledge of the facilities, the quality of its materials and our qualified personnel, mastering all installation methods and knowing perfectly the material requirements in each area, in the different maintenance shutdowns carried out at its plants in Cordoba and Niebla (Huelva).
We must highlight that castables such as ALFRAN CLEAN 85 G, ALFRAN ABR CLEAN, or DRYTECH 70 are commonly used in these cement plants, with exceptional performances.
Alfran gets funding from the Center for Industrial Technological Development, through the MISIONES program for two of his research projects.
Refractarios Alfran, together with Advanced Thermal Devices, Generaciones Fotovoltaicas de la Mancha, Nano4Energy and Silbat Energy Storage Solutions, is working to improve the efficiency of energy storage in a disruptive way through the ALTERA project (Thermoelectric Storage by Increased Reflectance), which leads.
Also, together with ACERINOX EUROPA SA, EQA Laboratorios, MAGNA- Magnesitas Navarras and Sociedad Financiera y Minera, S.A., it is investigating the potential for the use of mineral-based industrial waste, aligned with the circular economy, in the CERES project (Advanced Research in the field of mineral-based industrial waste as secondary raw materials for the formulation of new ecological products and circular economy loops creations).

In 2020, we have incorporated ALFRAN-HTR from the UAE as a Grupo Aldomer subsidiary. We have been collaborating with the company HTR for some time now and as a result, in April 2019 the first Alfranjet materials installation was carried out in the United Arab Emirates. In particular, 200 tons were projected at Arkan Cement Plant in Al Ain.
The work involved demolition, welding anchors, insulation gunning (Lite 10/14), and Alfranjet 45 SiC projection in the tertiary air duct, and Alfranjet 70 SiC on walls and the sidewall of the cooler. The installation was performed by qualified staff from Spain, in close collaboration with the HTR local workers.
The customer’s impression, as well as the rest of the companies present at the shutdown, was excellent, praising not only the speed of the installation but also the quality of the work executed and the degree of compliance with safety standards
