Les Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) sont un ensemble de 17 objectifs mondiaux qui visent à éradiquer la pauvreté, protéger la planète et garantir la prospérité pour tous. Chez ALFRAN, nous voulons montrer notre engagement total envers ces SDGs et, ces dernières années, différentes méthodologies et plans d’action ont été mis en œuvre dans l’entreprise pour atteindre ces objectifs. Il convient de souligner le Plan pour l’égalité des chances, approuvé chez ALFRAN, qui établit un cadre de référence en matière d’égalité de traitement et d’opportunités pour tous les collaborateurs de l’entreprise et qui s’oriente vers SDG 5 (Gender Equality) et SDG 10 (Reduction of inequalities). De même, chez ALFRAN, avec l’aide des départements R&D&I et Amélioration continue, nous travaillons au développement de matériaux et de processus permettant une utilisation plus efficace des ressources afin de mettre en œuvre les propositions de SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) et de SDG 13 (Climate Action).

During the past months Alfran-HTR, our subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates, made the main shutdown at Unit 2 of Fujairah Cement Industries. In this project, 65 meters of bricks were installed in the rotary kiln, 138 tons of dense concrete in different units of the plant and 120 tons of our Lite LW 23 AS insulating concrete. The entire ALFRAN-HTR team was congratulated by the client for the prompt and perfect execution of the work. The outcome of a good job is a satisfied customer!

Recently, ALFRAN has given a training course for pump operators using Shotcrete technology within the ALFRAN Spain facilities. The course, with an eminently practical nature, has been focused on the operation and management of pumping equipment and the identification/replacement of key components and wear elements.

This course is part of within the activities that ALFRAN develops regularly to promote the continuous training of all collaborators and allows us to satisfy the growing demand in projects where Shotcrete technology is used, throughout the world.

Recently, in the ALFRAN Mexico facilities, a training was carried out for the application of Alfranjet castables in rotary kilns. The training course goal was to promote good practices throughout the installation process of the material, from the preparation of the resources to their proper final application.
The instruction simulated all the on-site operating conditions that occur, which allowed our collaborators to enhance their knowledge for risk analysis, line preparations, material quality control, and correct application techniques, according to our technical procedures. All the objectives set were achieved and the training was a success. ALFRAN is committed to Training and Continuous Improvement!

ALFRAN a développé son premier béton de base à mettre en œuvre par la technologie du béton projeté. Les essais réalisés dans nos installations ont donné d’excellents résultats, tant au niveau des phases de projection que des propriétés finales du matériau, un béton spécialement conçu pour différentes applications industrielles, comme par exemple les fours rotatifs à clinker de ciment. De plus, notre ALFRANJET MAG85 est conçu aussi bien pour la régénération des briques que pour les épaisseurs de revêtement complet. Grâce au développement de ce nouveau matériau, ALFRAN réaffirme son engagement envers ses clients, en recherchant et en fournissant des solutions innovantes pour répondre à leurs besoins.

On June 5th, Environment Day has been celebrated, worldwide. In ALFRAN we want to highlight the Environment as an integrated value in our activities, strategies, and goals. ALFRAN has implemented ISO 14001 Standard as an Environmental Management System and is also subject to Integrated Environmental Authorization. Additionally, we are very aware of the European Green Deal, approved by the European Commission to promote the transition towards a Circular Economy, investing in technologies and using processes and services where energy and materials resources are used efficiently. We are sure that the Industry-Environment binomial is indivisible and possible from a sustainability point of view!

ALFRAN, a GRUPO ALDOMER company, joins the European Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP), through the adherence to the Luxembourg Declaration, a document that indicates the basic principles of action and the reference framework for good health management of the collaborators in the company.

In addition to the existing resources, our commitment is articulated with the implementation of a program of actions in health promotion that has a positive impact on people, the company and society as a whole.

Since the pandemic declaration and health crisis due to Covid19 coronavirus in March 2020 and subsequent lockdowns in the different countries where we developed our activities, Alfran, as an essential company, has carried out contingency plans that continue to be applied to ensure the continuity of its activity and guarantee the health&safety and the adequate organization of all its staff.

May 17 is World Recycling Day. At ALFRAN, committed to the environment, we are aware of the importance of treating waste properly to protect our planet. Our goal will ALWAYS be to reduce the volume of waste generated and minimize our carbon footprint. 3 golden rules of recycling:

Taking advantage of the arrival of AlNova to Grupo ALDOMER, Innovation Day was held. Our collaborators attended a recreational-formative training session to put creativity methodologies into practice and the creation of collaborative solutions, thus promoting teamwork. The activity was a great success in terms of participation and all the collaborators received a well-deserved gift at the end of the day.
