On June 5th, Environment Day has been celebrated, worldwide. In ALFRAN we want to highlight the Environment as an integrated value in our activities, strategies, and goals. ALFRAN has implemented ISO 14001 Standard as an Environmental Management System and is also subject to Integrated Environmental Authorization. Additionally, we are very aware of the European Green Deal, approved by the European Commission to promote the transition towards a Circular Economy, investing in technologies and using processes and services where energy and materials resources are used efficiently. We are sure that the Industry-Environment binomial is indivisible and possible from a sustainability point of view!

ALFRAN, a GRUPO ALDOMER company, joins the European Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP), through the adherence to the Luxembourg Declaration, a document that indicates the basic principles of action and the reference framework for good health management of the collaborators in the company.

In addition to the existing resources, our commitment is articulated with the implementation of a program of actions in health promotion that has a positive impact on people, the company and society as a whole.

Since the pandemic declaration and health crisis due to Covid19 coronavirus in March 2020 and subsequent lockdowns in the different countries where we developed our activities, Alfran, as an essential company, has carried out contingency plans that continue to be applied to ensure the continuity of its activity and guarantee the health&safety and the adequate organization of all its staff.

May 17 is World Recycling Day. At ALFRAN, committed to the environment, we are aware of the importance of treating waste properly to protect our planet. Our goal will ALWAYS be to reduce the volume of waste generated and minimize our carbon footprint. 3 golden rules of recycling:

Taking advantage of the arrival of AlNova to Grupo ALDOMER, Innovation Day was held. Our collaborators attended a recreational-formative training session to put creativity methodologies into practice and the creation of collaborative solutions, thus promoting teamwork. The activity was a great success in terms of participation and all the collaborators received a well-deserved gift at the end of the day.

GRUPO ALDOMER, through the subsidiary INTEC-HEAT, has participated in the construction of the first fully Spanish-made submarine, the S-81 Isaac Peral, manufactured by Navantia at its shipyard in Cartagena, Spain. The company’s contribution in this historic milestone has been circumscribed to the performance of heat treatments in the hull of the submarine. One further step for Aldomer´s companies, INTEC-HEAT and ALFRAN to reinforce their status as a world reference by offering thermal treatment solutions in the naval sector and for industrial high temperature.

Alfran starts its path by providing refractory products in the agro-industrial sector for the Mexican company, Citrofrut, which is specialized in the manufacturing and processing of tropical fruits, honey and fragrances. Different areas were repaired in the generator with our product Alfran Cast 80.

La Déclaration de Luxembourg, promue par le Réseau européen pour la promotion de la santé au travail (ENWHP), établit les grands principes d’action et le cadre de référence pour une bonne gestion de la santé des travailleurs. Avec ce certificat, ALFRAN renforce son engagement fort en faveur de la santé de tous les collaborateurs de l’entreprise.

Since the beginning of the year, ALFRAN has been awarded the maintenance contract for the Steel plant of Tubos Reunidos, a world leader in the manufacture of seamless tubular products. Thanks to this compromise, ALFRAN will be in charge of the maintenance of refractory materials in the fundamental equipment of the plant, such as ladles, RH, electric arc furnace, and tundish among others, and with which we will contribute with our experience to satisfy the needs of our customer.

ALFRAN becomes part of the Aceros Inoxidables Olarra family thanks to the concession of the maintenance contract for the steel plant that the entity has in Vizcaya, País Vasco (Spain). With this agreement, ALFRAN will carry out all the tasks related to refractory materials in the main operating units of the plant, such as ladles, AOD equipment, electric furnace, tundish, etc. Achieving better performance both in plant productivity and in worker’s health and safety.
