Alfran Steel-Tech

Alfran has developed the Steel-Tech quality with CERMET technology (Ceramic-Metalic), with the purpose of increasing the life of “critical” pieces used in areas of high thermo-mechanical requirement, ensuring the physical integrity of the same. Metalloceramic composites are those that combine the advantages of ceramic and metallic materials in the same prefabricated piece according to any plane. The development adds the ability to withstand bending and high resistance to thermal shock of metals to refractoriness and resistance to compression of the ceramics, providing, altogether, a solution in areas of high thermo-mechanical requirements, multiplying the useful life of the refractory when compared with the traditional ones.
