Moving Towards a More Sustainable Supply Chain: Building the Future Together

Servicio llave en mano construcción

Sustainability has become a strategic priority for the industrial sector. New environmental, social and governance requirements are transforming the way companies operate, collaborate with suppliers and develop their supply chains.

At Alfran, we continue to move forward in response to this evolving landscape, strengthening our capabilities and working to progressively integrate sustainability criteria into our operations and our relationships with customers and partners.

Alfran Participates in the 2026 Sustainable Suppliers Training Programme

As part of this commitment, Refractarios Alfran, S.A. has participated in the 4th Edition of the 2026 Sustainable Suppliers Training Programme, an initiative aimed at promoting the integration of environmental, social and governance criteria within companies and their supply chains.

Our participation in this programme has allowed us to gain deeper insights into some of the key challenges shaping the present and future of responsible business management:

  • The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

  • The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.

  • Human rights and diversity management.

  • Governance and anti-corruption.

  • CO₂ emissions reduction.

  • The circular economy.

  • Sustainability reporting and progress monitoring.

  • The internationalisation of sustainable businesses.

These areas are becoming increasingly important within industrial supply chains, where customers, suppliers and other stakeholders are sharing more goals and responsibilities.

Sustainability as Part of a Competitive Supply Chain

For Alfran, advancing sustainability is not simply about responding to new regulatory or market requirements. It also means continuously improving the way we work and contributing to stronger, more efficient and more responsible business relationships.

Today’s supply chains require greater capabilities to measure impacts, optimise resources, reduce emissions, promote responsible practices and ensure shared principles of conduct among the organisations involved.

This is why training and continuous improvement are essential tools for our ongoing development as a supplier and for supporting our customers in addressing the current and future challenges facing the industry.

A Commitment Reflected in Our Operations

Our participation in the Sustainable Suppliers Training Programme reflects Alfran’s determination to continue progressing towards the highest sustainability standards, aligning our approach with both our customers’ expectations and the growing demands of international markets.

This commitment is reflected in a vision based on continuous improvement, efficiency, innovation and corporate responsibility, progressively incorporating environmental, social and governance criteria into our processes and decision-making.

Building a More Sustainable Industry Together

The transition towards more sustainable industrial models requires collaboration. Companies, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders across the value chain all have an important role to play in this process.

At Alfran, we will continue working to strengthen this collaboration, advance our sustainability strategy and contribute to the development of an increasingly responsible, efficient and competitive industry.

Because building a more sustainable future also means building it together.
