We participated in the 2025 Fiestas Colombinas, an event held in Huelva, Spain. The event, which took place from August 15 to 17, 2025, was attended by José María Domínguez, President of ALFRAN, and Nacho Movilla, Sales Manager. Both represented the company at a unique event that has been recognized as an important forum for strengthening business relationships and exchanging professional experiences.
The Fiestas Colombinas, an event celebrating the tradition and culture of Huelva, provided an opportunity to connect with Atlantic Copper, one of ALFRAN’s key industrial partners. Over the course of the three-day gathering, experiences and insights were shared, helping to further strengthen the ties between the two companies.
An Informal Gathering in an Institutional Setting
The gathering, which took place in an informal yet professional setting, provided the perfect opportunity to exchange views on future collaboration. Discussions centered on topics of mutual interest, such as industrial innovation, continuous process improvement, and sustainability in the sector.
ALFRAN’s presence at these types of events is key to strengthening professional relationships within the industrial sector. Continuous dialogue and customer proximity are two of the pillars upon which ALFRAN’s business model is based, enabling the company to continue innovating and adapting to the needs of its customers and strategic partners.
Additionally, during the 2025 Colombinas Festival, ALFRAN representatives were able to participate in private meetings and networking sessions that allowed them to gain firsthand insight into the expectations and needs of the industrial sectors in Huelva and Andalusia.
Strengthening Professional Relationships with Atlantic Copper
One of the most rewarding aspects of the event was the opportunity to strengthen our collaboration with Atlantic Copper, a strategic partner for ALFRAN in various industrial sectors. During the meeting, both companies discussed key issues related to innovation in refractory materials and thermal solutions, and how their technologies contribute to the sustainable development of the copper industry.
Atlantic Copper expressed strong interest in further developing its relationship with ALFRAN, particularly in the area of high-temperature industrial projects. The exchange of knowledge during the conference resulted in new ideas for improving processes and optimizing the use of refractory materials at their facilities.
These types of meetings allow for the exploration of new business opportunities, as well as the creation of an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual trust. ALFRAN will continue to prioritize these types of events to maintain lasting and fruitful relationships with its most important industrial partners.
ALFRAN’s Commitment to Customer-Centricity
ALFRAN remains committed to customer-centricity as one of the cornerstones of its business model. Direct dialogue and ongoing collaboration are key to better understanding customer needs and tailoring its technological solutions to market demands.
Participating in events such as the 2025 Fiestas Colombinas reinforces the importance of these values for ALFRAN, as it allows us to build a network of relationships that go beyond strictly commercial ties. These gatherings help foster a collaborative work environment, where a commitment to excellence and innovation remains the company’s primary driving force.
Thanks to Atlantic Copper
At ALFRAN, we would like to thank Atlantic Copper for inviting us to participate in this very special event and for the opportunity to share a space for meeting and networking during the 2025 Fiestas Colombinas. These types of events are key to strengthening ties among companies in the industrial sector and to continuing to develop innovative solutions that contribute to the growth and success of all involved.
The Fiestas Colombinas have been an excellent opportunity to continue building the future of the industrial sector in the region, based on solid relationships, trust, and ongoing collaboration.
On 21, 22 and 23 July 2025, the Aldomer Group held its “Strategic Opportunities and Talent” conference at the NH Collection hotel in Seville, Spain. The event brought together representatives from numerous departments across the group, from both the EMEAI and AMERICAS regions, alongside the Group Executive Management and the Chairman.
The conference was designed as a forum for strategic reflection, knowledge-sharing and collaboration between teams operating in different markets and regions. Over the course of three days, participants worked together to analyse developments in the sectors in which the group operates, identify new growth opportunities and strengthen coordination between the organisation’s various departments.
The event highlighted the talent and experience of Grupo Aldomer’s professionals, emphasising the vital role that people play in developing innovative solutions and in consolidating the company’s position as an international leader in the field of high-temperature technology and industrial services.
A meeting to align the group’s strategy
The “Strategic Opportunities and Talent” conference was designed as a forum to align Grupo Aldomer’s vision and priorities at a time when the industry is facing significant challenges relating to energy efficiency, sustainability and technological transformation.
Throughout the various working sessions, participants analysed the current situation in the markets in which the group operates, shared experiences from different regions and discussed the opportunities that lie ahead. This approach provided a comprehensive overview of the business and strengthened coordination between teams which, although operating in different geographical contexts, share common strategic objectives.
The presence of professionals from different departments and regions fostered a fruitful dialogue that enabled the identification of areas for improvement, the exploration of new avenues for development and the strengthening of the group’s internal cohesion. Collaboration between international teams thus became one of the key elements of the meeting.
Participation by teams from EMEAI and the AMERICAS
One of the highlights of this event was the broad representation of professionals from the EMEAI and AMERICAS regions, which created a particularly enriching forum for the exchange of knowledge.
Participants were able to share experiences relating to their respective markets, analyse customer needs in each region and discuss the trends that are transforming the industrial sector globally. This diversity of perspectives provided a more comprehensive view of the competitive landscape and helped identify opportunities that can be capitalised on through greater coordination between the group’s different divisions.
Furthermore, the participation of representatives from Group Executive Management and the Chairmanship provided a strategic perspective that linked the discussions at the meeting to the organisation’s long-term objectives. This direct dialogue between operational teams and senior management helped to strengthen strategic alignment and define common priorities for the coming years.
Talent as a driver of growth
One of the key messages of the conference was the importance of human talent as a driver of innovation and competitiveness. The company recognises that the development of high-value industrial solutions depends to a large extent on the ability of its professionals to contribute knowledge, creativity and commitment to every project.
During the various sessions of the event, the role of teams was highlighted as a key element in tackling the challenges facing the industrial sector. In an environment characterised by rapid technological change and increasingly demanding markets, having qualified and committed professionals is a decisive factor in maintaining competitiveness.
The exchange of experiences amongst participants enabled the identification of best practices, the sharing of technical knowledge and the strengthening of the culture of collaboration that characterises the group. This people-centred approach reflects the conviction that the organisation’s long-term success depends on its ability to attract, develop and nurture the talent within its teams.
Identifying strategic opportunities
As well as focusing on talent, the conference provided an opportunity to analyse the strategic opportunities arising in the various markets. Through working sessions and open discussions, participants explored different areas of development relating to technological innovation, international expansion and improved operational efficiency.

The Executive Chairman of Grupo Aldomer, José María Domínguez, took part as a speaker in the 2025 Andalucía Esade Alumni Annual Meeting, held on 26 June at the Radisson Collection Magdalena Plaza Hotel in Seville.
The event, organised by the Esade Alumni Western Andalusia Club, brought together leading professionals from the Andalusian business community to reflect on the present and future of family-owned companies.
This participation provided an opportunity to share our experience in strategic areas such as internationalisation, sustainability and innovation applied to the industrial sector.
A day focused on leadership in family-owned businesses
The 2025 edition focused on the role of family-owned businesses as a benchmark for leadership, highlighting values such as corporate culture, the legacy of hard work, intergenerational commitment and the ability to overcome challenges.
The event began with a welcome address by Javier Bécares, President of the Esade Alumni Western Andalusia Club. This was followed by a round-table discussion featuring:
- José María Domínguez, Executive Chairman of Grupo Aldomer.
- Daniel Tejera Martínez, Managing Director of Laboratorios Zotal.
- María Castro, Executive Director of Desengrasante El Milagrito.
- Anselmo Presencio, Director of Fundación Persán, as moderator.
During the discussion, participants shared experiences, challenges and lessons related to the management and evolution of Andalusian family-owned companies.
Alfran’s experience
José María Domínguez’s participation highlighted the journey of a Seville-based family business with more than 110 years of history.
From its origins in ceramic materials, the company has evolved into refractory solutions, industrial linings and a range of specialised services designed to protect the heart of industry.
Throughout this journey, the company has developed a significant international presence, with operations in markets including Spain, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, India, Mexico, Peru, Nigeria and the United States, among others.
This experience served as the starting point for addressing three key areas for the growth of industrial companies: internationalisation, sustainability and innovation.
Internationalisation, sustainability and innovation
International expansion represents an opportunity to grow, diversify markets and bring a company’s solutions closer to customers in different countries. It also requires adaptability, local knowledge and a strong corporate culture capable of preserving the group’s values in each new market.
Alongside internationalisation, sustainability and innovation have become essential elements in addressing the current challenges facing industry.
The adoption of new solutions, continuous process improvement and the development of more efficient industrial models make it possible to move towards responsible growth that is better prepared for the future.
These areas form part of a business evolution built on experience, the commitment of its professionals and the ambition to provide an increasingly comprehensive and specialised service.
Sharing experiences to keep moving forward
The 2025 Andalucía Esade Alumni Annual Meeting provided a space to analyse the challenges facing family-owned businesses from different perspectives and to encourage open dialogue between speakers and attendees.
Following the round-table discussion and Q&A session, participants continued exchanging experiences during a networking cocktail held on the terrace of the Radisson Hotel in Seville.
We would like to thank Esade Alumni for the invitation and the opportunity to take part in this event, as well as all the professionals who contributed their experiences and insights.
We remain committed to shared knowledge, innovation and collaboration as key drivers for addressing the new challenges facing industry and continuing to build the future of our family business.
