During the past months at the ALFRAN facilities, audits have taken place to renew the certification of the Integrated Management System following the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. After intense days and thanks to the work of all the collaborators, the auditing company has verified that the Management System complies with all the legal, regulatory and contractual requirements that appear in the aforementioned standards. From ALFRAN, we want to thank the work of all collaborators to successfully reach this milestone and we want to reaffirm our commitment with the continuous improvement of our activities to continue renewing the next certifications.
ALFRAN Saudi Arabia (ASA) has received its first supply order for the Tahama cement plant from Southern Province Cement Company (SPCC). The order consisted of 145 tons of our high-quality vibrocasting material TIX 60 AS, which were intended to meet the emergency repairs of the plant. Our client was satisfied with the speed in the execution of the supply.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 global goals that seek to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. In ALFRAN we want to show our total commitment with these SDGs and, in recent years, different methodologies and action plans have been implemented in the company to address these objectives. It is worth highlighting the Equal Opportunities Plan, approved in ALFRAN, which establishes a reference framework in equal treatment and opportunities for all company collaborators and which is oriented towards SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 10 (Reduction of inequalities). Likewise, in ALFRAN, with the help of the R&D&I and Continuous Improvement departments, we are working on the development of materials and processes where resources are used more efficiently to set out the proposals of SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

During the past months Alfran-HTR, our subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates, made the main shutdown at Unit 2 of Fujairah Cement Industries. In this project, 65 meters of bricks were installed in the rotary kiln, 138 tons of dense concrete in different units of the plant and 120 tons of our Lite LW 23 AS insulating concrete. The entire ALFRAN-HTR team was congratulated by the client for the prompt and perfect execution of the work. The outcome of a good job is a satisfied customer!
Recently, ALFRAN has given a training course for pump operators using Shotcrete technology within the ALFRAN Spain facilities. The course, with an eminently practical nature, has been focused on the operation and management of pumping equipment and the identification/replacement of key components and wear elements.
This course is part of within the activities that ALFRAN develops regularly to promote the continuous training of all collaborators and allows us to satisfy the growing demand in projects where Shotcrete technology is used, throughout the world.
Recently, in the ALFRAN Mexico facilities, a training was carried out for the application of Alfranjet castables in rotary kilns. The training course goal was to promote good practices throughout the installation process of the material, from the preparation of the resources to their proper final application.
The instruction simulated all the on-site operating conditions that occur, which allowed our collaborators to enhance their knowledge for risk analysis, line preparations, material quality control, and correct application techniques, according to our technical procedures. All the objectives set were achieved and the training was a success. ALFRAN is committed to Training and Continuous Improvement!
ALFRAN has developed its first basic concrete to be installed by Shotcrete technology. The tests carried out in our facilities have obtained excellent results both in the projection stages and in the final properties of the material, a concrete specially designed for different industrial applications, like for example, cement clinker rotary kilns. In addition, our ALFRANJET MAG85 is designed for both the bricks regrowth and the full lining thicknesses. Thanks to the development of this new material, in ALFRAN we reaffirm our commitment with the customers, searching and providing innovative solutions to satisfy their needs.
