Yamama Saudi Cement Company is a strategic client for Alfran. We have been awarded most of the work of line 7, requiring 10,000 tons/day since 2012. During the downtime in 2015, we installed 162 tons of concrete in 10 days, saving 5 days compared to the conventional vibrocast method that would have taken over 15 days. The main work was the installation of 76 tons of concrete within the entry chamber and precalciner. Before 2012, the area had frequent problems with hot spots and damage to the heat-resistant coating. Since Alfran’s quality intervention, the problems have reduced greatly, and even disappeared completely in many areas. Alfran also installed 86 tons of concrete in the cooler of the same line with the overhanging concrete finish being the most critical area.
