Alfran has completed a major repair project on Furnace 1 at the Owens America plant in Guadalajara, focusing on improving thermal insulation and rehabilitating various critical areas of the system. The project scope included comprehensive tank insulation, work on feeder elevators, rehabilitation of ash ports and doors, and technical cleaning of key areas such as the ash pits, forehearth, and working end. Additionally, work was carried out on flooring and columns, along with structural alignments at various furnace ports.
The work has optimized the thermal performance of the furnace, improved operating conditions and ensured the structural integrity of the refractory elements, contributing to greater efficiency and reliability of the production process.
