Thermal Insulation and Passive Fire Protection in Abkatun II Oil Platform, Pemex Property and built by McDermott

The Abkatun A-II platform replaces the former Abkatun Alfa, which suffered a spectacular fire in April 2015, and is expected to have a daily production of 200.00 barrels. It will be located in the Abkatun-Pol-Chuc field, operated by Pemex, in the Campeche basin, between the states of Campeche and Tabasco, and about 132km northeast of the port of Dos Bocas.

Insulation: We carried out the works of supply and installation of insulating materials for pipes and equipment for heat conservation and personal protection carried out with Aerogel and Rock Wool .

Fireproofing: Supply and installation of the Fireproofing System on the ceiling of the control room of the platform, specifically the Chartek 7 Epoxy System will be installed.

Offshore Jobs: Once the work in the patio is finished, we continued our offshore work , where we employed a work force of 30 people approximately during 6 months.
