For this important extension project, ALFRAN carried out the engineering of the coating, supplied 1,500 tons of heat-resistant materials, and was then in charge of the installation. The project was a re-engineering project which involved replacing the satellite coolers with a cooler with a pendular grille cooler. In addition, 6 cyclones were replaced in the pre-heating tower and a calciner was included. The project was carried out over 83 continuous days, Clinker to Clinker, which was possible thanks to appropriate planning, coordination, and monitoring by all those involved. Thanks to AlfranJet® (shotcrete) technology, it was possible to install all the material within the deadlines established by INVECEM, achieving installation speeds of up to 40 tons/(12 hours). In addition, the drying of the material by convection was carried out by our subsidiary Intec-Heat.
